Pre-kindergarten enrollment for the 2017-2018 school year will begin April 3, 2017. Registration times are Monday thru Thursday 8:30 am until 2:30 pm.
To enroll in pre-kindergarten, a child must be four years of age on or before September 1, 2017 and meet one or more of the following criteria:
Parents or legal guardians should have the following documents in hand when they come to pre-register a child:
All required documents must be submitted to the Givens registrar to complete enrollment. Immunization records must be up to date or offical paperwork must be given for students to be fully accepted in the Pre-K program. If at anytime a student is out of compliance with immunizations he or she will be unenrolled in the pre-k program. Completion of the paperwork does not guarantee enrollment in the Pre-k program. Teacher requests must be made in person. They are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. All required documents must be submitted before requesting a teacher. Parent choices are not binding—the principal will finalize class placement. Questions may be directed to Cindy Cass, registrar, email@example.com, 903-737-7512, or the school office, 903-737-7466.
Both T.G. Givens Early Childhood Center and Lamar County Head Start provide pre-kindergarten programs. For information about Head Start registration, please call 903-737-7469.
The Student Nutrition Department of Paris ISD is implementing an innovative new service for our students and parents. This exciting new service is called Lunch Money Now.
Lunch Money Now is a program that will permit parents to access their student’s cafeteria account via the Internet. This access will provide the parent with the ability to do several things including checking the student’s balance, viewing the students purchase history, and making deposits to the child’s lunch money account using a credit card. Parents are also able to subscribe for email warnings when their child's account dips below a specified threshold reminding the parent that their child's balance needs attention.
Please contact the Student Nutrition Department at 903-737-7589 if you have any questions.
