I graduated from Prairiland High School and attended East Texas State University in Commerce, TX.

I have a Batchelor of Science degree in Education.

I teach pre-k at Givens. This is my 7th year at Paris. 

Before I came to Paris ISD, I taught 26 years at North Lamar ISD. I taught 5 years in Early Childhood Special Education, 20 years in kindergarten, and 1 year as a reading specialist. I also spent 1 ½ years as a mentor coach in Oklahoma working with Head Start teachers.

I am married to Jimbo Thompson. He is a bricklayer. We live in Blossom. We got married in 1991. We have a son named Logan who is married to Ashlyn. Ashlyn teaches kindergarten at Justiss Elementary. We have a very spoiled dog named Freckles whom we love very much.
